"Thank you so much for getting this dog for me and for the training you gave me. I'm telling you - we're seven for seven on live tracks. It's awesome! I love this dog.  Thanks again."

March 2008 phone message to an ASCT Instructor from Deputy Mike Moore - Elko Nevada.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE PURCHASE

With each K9, Instructor’s provide airfare (if needed), hotel accommodations, manuals, test fees, certification fees, K9 shipping (if needed), guarantees, and the complete handler’s course.

WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE

Every ASCT Instructor issues full guarantees on performance, maintenance, and assistance, for the street life of the K9. Health guarantees range from 1 - 3 years.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

All dog teams are NATIONALLY CERTIFIED through ASCT.

ASCT will provide court assistance for any certified K9 team.

K9 teams re-certify once per year.

Instructor bio/resume’ and references are always issued.

All canines are specifically chosen for the agency and handler to fit the needs of those parties. ASCT does not use or pass along washout dogs. We do not use dogs previously working for other police agencies unless the purchasing agency has specifically chosen that route.

Imports are most common and always issued upon request.

All dogs must have excellent health and pass stringent hip/elbow/back specifications.

Dogs are trained prior to handler’s arrival. Handler school ranges (agency choice) from 2 - 10 weeks.

Instructors are in constant contact with handler prior to and after the handling school.

Assistance is always available.

Advanced schools are available each year at discount cost.

TYPES OF TEAMS

Note: All K9’s are taught agility and obedience as part of their training curriculum.

NARCOTICS DETECTION

Narcotic Detection handlers have a choice of breed and sex. Canines are trained to detect the following standard narcotics: marijuana, cocaine and all cocaine derivatives, heroin, opium, amphetamine, and methamphetamine. Agencies can choose to eliminate or add narcotic odors at random. Handlers will be taught how to add new odors and proof them. The K9 will work in both vehicle and building settings. The K9 will be comfortable with traffic conditions and roadside vehicle stop/scans.

PATROL

Patrol handler’s can choose Shepherd (German, Czech, Dutch, Belgian) or Malinois. Patrol dogs are taught all aspects of handler/public protection but will remain relatively social unless otherwise requested. Dogs will be trained to track both urban and rural environments and will complete tracks at lengthy time delay and/or quick dropouts. Patrol dogs will complete building searches for suspect in both light available and complete darkness.

DUAL PURPOSE

All dual-purpose dogs will incorporate patrol training - along with a detection ability (narcotic, explosives, or other).

EXPLOSIVES DETECTION

Explosives detection K9’s are trained and certified to levels of scent, alert, and control that will meet not only ASCT’s strict requirements but also be trained to the levels of those of ATF, and Lackland Air Force Base. Explosives K9’s are trained and proofed to detect all high grade and low grade explosives of both military and commercial quality. Our K9’s will also detect chlorates, oxidizers, and nitrates. K9 teams will be certified for explosives detection for all public facilities, vehicles, schools, and buildings.

ACCELERANT DETECTION

Teams are certified for 17 accelerant odors of both burned and active components.

CADAVER RECOVERY

Cadaver dogs are taught to recovery materials from all three stages of decomposition and at multi levels.

BLOODHOUND
Teams are specificly taught tracking from a speed and recovery technique system that roots back to the original Bloodhound teams of the 1930's.

ASCT offers basic K9 training by working with our instructors to encompass a program of continuity while still keeping programs independant.

Our instructors either work directly under the ASCT structure or have their own, independant businesses that are within the ASCT system.

Thus, a police agency considering the purchase of a trained K9 and handling school will find us ultimately suited for their needs.

ASCT offers pricing that is kept continually affordable for law enforcement.

There is no price gauging here. Our prices are set. Everyone pays the same (sorry, due to the grant programs we have available, we are not allowed to place prices here).
